Scientific Education
I have painted all my life, anything and everything, using all types of medium, oil, water, pastels and acrylic. But now, Digital painting “is my thing”. This website focuses on what I call my everyday art for everywhere; your home, the office, a waiting room, Hotel, anywhere. Paintings bring warmth, character, mood, vibrancy, and interest that can brighten any room. A good painting can transform a room with its selection of subject, its beauty, use of colour, detail, presentation and quality. These are the ingredients I strive to deliver in all of my art.
An introduction to the Science Photo Library:
Another completely different area in which I focus my art, is one I call “Scientific Education”. Talk about science fiction, this is a truly unbelievable world of wonder, a world that cannot be seen by the naked eye, yet it defines each and every one of us, It’s the world within our bodies, it’s the world of “micro biology”.
For the last few years I’ve been working for the Science Photo Library based in London. Creating artworks that help explain how cells inside your body work, each and every cell has a purpose, a function to carry out, but sometimes things go wrong. It’s been my job to illustrate the events that take place and how they work. These micro bodies are so small we need extremely powerful electron microscopes to view them, but some are so small not even an electron microscope allows us to see them. Scientists sometimes know what takes place, but need help in explaining these events in a way that can be understood and passed on to others within the science and medical worlds.
Believe me it’s a truly unbelievable world which I think you’ll be astonished to see. Why not see for yourselves and visit the Science Photo Library web site. All of my science paintings are there for you to view, and if you should be interested in purchasing any, the Science Photo Library would be only too happy to help.
